I'm a best-selling author, business coach and international speaker specializing in the use of ethical influence and persuasion in business.
In the following paragraphs, I'll share with you a little about myself. I hope to learn more about you at one of our events, or perhaps one-on-one.
Twenty-three years ago, I was homeless. I had made a series of bad decisions, each of which I was running away from, which led me to sleeping on a picnic bench in the park for about six months. I was at the lowest of lows. I truly believed I was stupid and worthless and didn't think I would ever amount to much.
Soon after I got off the streets, I began to turn my life around and when my son was born later that year, I had a new-found motivation and reason to thrive.
I started my first business in 1994, selling a small piece of software I created on the internet before most people had even heard of an internet. I started Dreamland Software as a "hobby," to give myself much needed experience developing software and to create a little side-income to support my new family.
As a single dad entering the work-force in my new career, my budding hobby began to take off and take more of my attention. And while I worked only for money during the day, my real passion was spent working at night making and shipping 3.5" floppy disks all over the world.
After the first year, I began to run into a problem... I was running out of my most important resource: time.
I knew that if I was ever going to grow that little side-business to something great, I had to figure out a way to multiply my time. I began developing business strategies to automate as much of my business as possible, so I could grow my business while having time to raise my son.
In 1999, I stumbled upon the field of NLP, or Neuro-Linguistic Programming. NLP can be described as the "lost user manual for the mind." It helps you run your own mind, as well as understanding the minds of others so you can ethically influence and persuade.
Learning NLP has not only changed my life, but its success and influence principles allowed me to help hundreds of thousands of people all around the world and grow my businesses to amazing levels.
These days, my wife (the love of my life and my business partner) and I run several successful businesses while living in Draper, UT.
